What the girls will study and why is it important?

Student will have the opportunity to engage with a range of activities that stimulate thinking and introduce them to some key concepts in Philosophy and Ethics. This sets the foundation for further study and enables them to see the connections between theory and real life application.

How it will help them prepare post-16 studies?

The work set prepares students for post-16 studies as they have the opportunity to develop independence and critical thinking skills. The philosophical and ethical issues considered are useful examples taken from a range of disciplines providing students with the chance to make cross-curricular connections.
