Welcome to
We are a fully inclusive and very successful inner city Church of England school for girls. I hope this website will give you a flavour of the amazing range of opportunities available here to our students, as well as a sense of our proud history and exciting future.
With roots that can be traced back to 1562, and only six headteachers in the last 116 years, we provide an educational environment of stability and tradition that enables our whole community to learn from the very best of our shared heritage.

Full News StoryThis is a school where there is academic rigour, and intellectual challenge and stimulation; where there are high expectations for all from all.
We sincerely believe that all students, as individuals, should be able to reach their full potential and fulfill their aspirations, whatever they may be. To that end, we offer support, guidance and advice.
We pride ourselves in providing a curriculum which meets the individual needs of all our students whether they progress to Oxbridge or follow a vocational route.
We value being a small school with strong systems built on mutual support an collaboration.
Teachers work closely across the school to ensure the full potential of all our students is recognised and nurtured.
We aim to ensure that every student is a positive inheritor of the past and we recognise the need to learn from, and build upon, the foundation that gives us our roots and our sense of belonging
We value opportunities to celebrate key occasions and to reflect on what is important to us.
We have listed our individual departments to give you an insight into what each area offers.
