Key Stage 3

The curriculum offer at Key Stage 3 is designed to help students make the smooth transition from Primary School, enhancing their learning and progress into Key Stage 4 and GCSEs. The range of fiction and non-fiction texts which students will explore and create help to further embed social, moral and spiritual values.

In preparation for the rigors of the GCSE and to gain access to top class Literature, students in Years 7 – 9 will study several Shakespeare plays; poetry from the past and present as well as the many opportunities to read a variety of novels from anywhere from Charlotte Bronte, to Patrick Ness and Michael Morpurgo.
