Sixth Form

A Welcome from the Headteacher

We are extremely proud of all aspects of our Sixth Form; its variety and breadth of courses, its academic rigour, its contribution to our community, and its wonderful facilities.

Our success at preparing students for life beyond school is outstanding with a personalised approach that ensures every girl is supported to define and then achieve her own ambitions. Whether you’re aiming for apprenticeships in the city or medicine at a Russell Group University, St Saviour’s & St Olave’s School will support and challenge you to achieve your best.

St Saviour’s Sixth Formers have the ideal combination of purpose-designed spaces for the independent study required, whilst still being part of a dynamic and supportive community. Our Christian ethos is inclusive and underpins every aspect of school life, creating an environment in which every girl is encouraged to develop her skills and talents to the fullest.

A Message from the Head of Sixth form

Our Sixth Form at St Saviour's and St Olave’s is an inclusive and friendly community.  We offer academic excellence, a strong enrichment programme, clear support with future pathways and high-quality pastoral care and support for our students.

We see Sixth Form as an integral part of your school journey as you transition to self-motivated, independent learners focusing on realising your ambitions whether through attending Russell Group Universities or taking a practical pathway with apprenticeships.  We offer small classes with focused support from staff and endeavour to find an academic pathway to help you realise your goals.

We seek to develop our students beyond the curriculum, offering a varied enrichment programme which includes an EPQ programme with weekly mentor meetings, volunteering and opportunities to develop public speaking and Arts interests.  We have a timetabled Oxbridge programme for students aspiring to Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities with elective sessions and visits and work with organisations offering apprenticeships.  Our links with the Merchant Taylors Association and Livery Companies means we offer a range of exceptional opportunities across a network or schools and organisations.

Our place within the school community means we expect our students to set high standards in their behaviour and participation in community activities. We are very proud of our student leadership team and the energy and warmth they bring to the school community.

We know that sixth form can be a transformative and exciting period for many students, and our aim is to facilitate as many opportunities for growth in our students as possible.

We hope you decide to become part of our community and look forward to welcoming into our Sixth Form.
