Daily Update on Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Wednesday 18th March 2020

Dear Parents/Carers

Despite further staff absence today we have managed to remain open to all students and I am very grateful for the efforts of all St Saviour’s & St Olave’s staff, both teaching and support staff, who have been working hard to maintain a quality provision for our students.

We anticipate that the numbers of staff needing to self-isolate will continue to increase and it now seems inevitable that we will need to close to some groups of students in the near future, or close completely pending government announcements.  We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible, and we will send the message through email, text, and put it on the website.  If and when this does happen we will maintain communication through the website and text and email services.

These are extraordinary times and the messages of support we have received from some parents have been gratefully received.  Thank you for all that you have already done to support us in school, and for all you will do in the future to support your daughter learning at home.  Wherever she is working we are still working together in her best interest.

As a school, we are determined to support those families whose daughters are entitled to Free School Meals in the event of closure because we are aware that school closures bring challenges for many families. I therefore enclose some links below to potential sources of support.
