GCSE Results Day

St Saviour’s and St Olave’s School is celebrating another set of exceptional GCSE results.

We are delighted that our students have exceeded the national average statistics in most subjects including English and Maths.
Catherine May, Headteacher said, “it has been an absolute joy to see our students in school today after such a long time. I am so proud of the academic successes of these young women, but equally proud of the patience and resilience they have shown throughout this extraordinary year. I am very much looking forward to seeing many of them return in September to our Sixth Form. I am confident that the skills they have learnt throughout this whole period will make them stronger and inspire them to make the most of every opportunity available to them. I would like to thank my staff for their forbearance and perseverance with the many changes to the policies that have taken place around these results. I would also like to congratulate all our students on their incredible achievements and I wish them all the very best for their futures.”
This year as our students dealt with the disappointment of having their examinations cancelled, staff were guided through a thorough and robust moderation process designed to ensure that all students achieved the grades they had worked hard for and deserved. Deputy Headteacher, Michelle Ferguson who led on this said, “our students demonstrated remarkable maturity during this process and staff acted with absolute integrity. We are grateful to our staff and immensely proud of our amazing students and their incredibly supportive families.”

Sherine Gray, Director of Year 11 said, “it has been a delight to lead this cohort over the past four years and witness their commitment to achieving their academic goals. Despite the unforeseen challenges they faced, the girls have shown great resilience in the face of uncertainty and they have been an inspiration to us all.”
