Jane Watkins studied composition at the world renowned Guildhall School of Music and Dramaunder Malcolm Singer and Simon Bainbridge. In 1999 she was awarded the The Edith Chadwell Memorial Prize and a scholarship from the Britten Pears Trust to study under Judith Weir at theDartington International Summer School. Since then she has been commissioned regularly to write music for film, by organisations such as the BBC and SKY. Her work has also appeared at the Edinburgh Festival. She has over 12 years professional piano teaching experience at inner London schools.

Danny has been playing and teaching the guitar for over 30 years.  He has specialised in many different styles from jazz, rock, gypsy jazz, blues, Brazilian bossa nova, flamenco to classical giving him enormous versatility and diversity in his playing and teaching.  Since moving to the UK he has recorded with a number of different musicians and played many of the top rock and jazz venues, such as Jazz Cafe, The Marquee, Mean Fiddler, Rock Garden and many jazz festivals with different artists and bands.  Over the years his many musical projects include: the formation of gypsy jazz 'Swing Duo' with violinist Ben Coleman with whom he recorded the album 'Collage'; touring with David Jean Baptiste and recording on his album 'Neuriba'; performing with violinist Roberto Manes in the Soho Jazz Festival; performing in Rome with Vito Caporale and his San Remo award winning swing quartet I Baraonna; and more recently working with the legendary actor Christopher Lee.  With his current band dB-infusion he has already composed, recorded, produced and released the album Dreamscape and is currently finishing the second album, working with high profile musicians such as John Etheridge (Stephan Grappelli), John Helliwell (Supertramp), Hugh McDowell (ELO) and the legendary Mike Gibbs. 

Percussion - David Holmes – MPerf BMus BSc LRAM

David initially studied Mathematics, gaining a BSc from the University of Nottingham, before embarking on a career in music. He studied for a BMus in academic music at King's College, London graduating with first class honours. During his time at King's David received percussion tuition at the Royal Academy of Music where he was also awarded an LRAM teaching diploma with distinction. David then went on to study for a Masters in Performance in Percussion at the Royal College of Music.

David has a busy career as a percussionist performing in a number of ensembles across a wide range of styles of music. He has played with orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra and Brandenberg Sinfonia and with period instrument ensembles including the Gabrieli Consort and Fiori Musicali. In 2012 David was invited to be part of the team responsible for selecting and training the drum volunteers for the Olympic opening ceremony. He also played on the studio recording of the soundtrack album for the ceremony. Other commercial work includes concerts with Rick Wakeman with whom David will be playing on a nationwide tour this year.  Alongside his performing work David is also the Assistant Director of the contemporary chamber ensemble We Spoke: New Music. He recently toured Switzerland with the group in a choreographed production of Steve Reich's Drumming. He has previously had roles as Orchestra Manager and Librarian with the London Schools Symphony Orchestra with whom he has toured all over Europe.  David has been an active percussion and drum kit teacher in London for the last ten years. He currently works for a number of institutions including the Centre for Young Musicians in central London and was recently appointed as an Examiner in Music for Trinity College London.
