KS4 business

A chance to visit the Museum of Brands where students will undertake a nostalgic journey through a nostalgic journey through 200 years of consumer culture. It is an exciting new way of looking at history through the things that generations of families have thrown away. It’s a journey back through the memories of your childhood, all brought back to life again by our Time Tunnel – a fascinating insight into how we have lived since Victorian times.

Students will have the opportunity to learn about the purpose of packaging and the development of supermarket brands from Victorian times to the present day. After undertaking research from the Museum’s collection, students work in groups to improve packaging designs in relation to consumer habits and market trends.
