Kew Garden Science Trip

7 Blue visit Kew Gardens with Science.

On Monday 28th January 2013 7Blue went on a class trip to Kew Gardens. Although the weather wasn’t great, the gardens were very beautiful. We learned about plant adaptations. For example, drip tips are adapted to the wet tropics: rainwater slides down the waxy leaves onto the tips to stop the plant from “drowning”. We also saw a Venus Flytrap plant which eats insects. The trip was very educational and we really enjoyed it. Thank you Mr Couch for Organising it.
