Scheme of Work for key Stage 3

The Key Stage 3 Scheme of work has been carefully planned to explore all of the different links between different areas of mathematics and other subjects.

The scheme of work is differentiated across levels 3 to 8

Students are set according to their ability from the start of year 7 and will work on the scheme of work according to their ability.  For Example, a student that achieved a level 4b at the end of year 7 will be targeting at least a level 5c in year 8 and will therefore be working mainly on level 5 work that year.

The scheme of work is broken into 15 units.  Each unit has been created with the aim of establishing links between different areas of Mathematics and also highlights how Mathematics features prominently in other curriculum areas.
