Ypres 2014

On the 28th March, 2014, 76 students from year 9 visited Belgium with the History department to see the town of Ypres, and take part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Menin Gate. Students also visited the Hooge Crator, Hill 60 and Tyne Cot Cemetery. We were very lucky to have tour guides from The British Legion, helping to explain the First World War's events, and to help us all understand and remember the sacrifices made for future generations.

You can view the trip gallery now, but please do check back soon for a full report from our students.
